India Day 3 in the books
Day 3 got off to an early start. We went to our first meeting with a consulting company. They are an Oracle provider and we met them at our meetings with Nasscom on Monday morning. They may have someone from their US sales team reach out to us about setting some meetings up for them with Indy companies. They also suggested adding them to our website for helping with Indian business. An idea that came up during our discussion was to potentially have a separate page on our website for each of our targeted countries so that specific information could be given about those specific countries and companies. India Day 2 in the books
We awoke to a beautiful and very warm morning. Upper 80s today and the sun was very hot.
Our first meeting as a delegation was with an IT company focusing on Information Health Exchange Technology. We had been introduced to them yesterday and they invited us to their offices this morning. When we got off the elevator on their floor, I thought I was playing for the Colts and getting ready for pre-game introductions. We had a welcome line from all of their employees. We received the traditional red dot of blessing that they placed on our foreheads and then welcomed us with their version of a Lei and then proceeded to allow us to walk through the middle of their line of people and they welcomed us warmly. Very cool experience. Continue Reading

Brazilian Trade Mission, April 2011
By: Scott Miller, CEO
Day 1.
Tuesday April 26. Our delegation left Indianapolis on Monday evening for our overnight trip to Brazil. We have an outstanding delegation focusing on the IT sector. Our delegates include Mark and Karen Hill of Collina Ventures. They did a remarkable job of naming their company. Collina means Hill in Italian. It also means Hill in Portuguese and the Brazilian companies loved the play on the company name and the Hill family name. Mark and Karen have successfully started and sold an IT business in the Indianapolis region and now are involved in the IT community in Indianapolis where Mark chairs the board for Techpoint. Also joining us is Joe Staples. Joe is the Chief Marketing Officer for Interactive Intelligence and speaks Portuguese as well. He spent almost 2 years immediately after college in Sao Paulo and has been a great addition to our delegation. We are extremely thankful to Collina Ventures and to Interactive Intelligence for their investments of time, energy and financial resources into our mission to Brazil. Continue Reading
